This really is a review on all your products. I feel like everything has great potential, but is ruined by the added sugar. I certainly have a sweet tooth, love my sugar, but when it is in my lasagna, jambalaya, and curry it just doesn't taste right. I taste more sugar in the products than any of the other spices.Value Ease of Use Nutritional Quality Taste
COOKSIMPLE NOTE: There is no added sugar in the Jambalaya or the Curry. In the Curry, the sugar you are tasting comes from the natural sugars in unsweetened raisins and the sugar that's naturally occurring in rice as a carbohydrate. In the Jambalaya, the only sugar would be from the rice. We work hard to balance all naturally occurring sugars with fiber so that the body processes them more slowly and more naturally. If you prefer a less sweet version, we'd suggest adding additional spirces, increasing the protein (tofu or chicken or your choice), or in the case of curry removing some raisins.
The only kits we add sugar to are the Skillet Lasagna and the White Bean Chili, and we add a total of 3 grams to each serving of Lasagna to balance the bitterness of the spices and 1 gram to each serving of White Bean Chili to balance the cayenne pepper. (Posted on April 12, 2013)
